Mezcal is one of those drinks we always want to have, but sometimes we prefer to enjoy it mixed with some of our favorite fruits instead of having it straight in a jicara or a shot glass. Whether it's for good times or bad, there's nothing better than sipping on a cocktail made with mezcal.
Dare to prepare some of the cocktails we present here and savor this unique and delicious drink in an original way:
Watermelon Mezcalita
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. of mezcal
- 2 oz. of watermelon
- 0.5 oz. of lime juice
- Raw cane sugar
- Ice
- Fruit chunks or mint leaves
Mixing Instructions
Add the mezcal, ice, lime juice, watermelon, and the desired amount of raw cane sugar to the blender and blend them. You can garnish the glass with salt or chili powder, along with a slice of watermelon or mint leaves to enhance the flavor a bit.
Mezcal Carajillo
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. of mezcal
- 1.5 oz. of espresso coffee
- 0.5 oz. of agave syrup
- Ice
- Orange wedge
- Coffee grains
Mixing Instructions
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Garnish with an orange slice and coffee beans. You can substitute the orange with a chocolate-covered marshmallow for even more flavor.
Margarita "Eye"
Ingredients:
- 2.0 oz. of mezcal
- 0.5 oz. of Moscos® Orange liqueur
- 1.0 of lime juice
- Ice
- Artisanal salt
- Lime wedges
Mixing Instructions
All you have to do is combine all the ingredients in a shaker and shake them well to mix. Then strain the mixture into a glass with ice, rimmed with your preferred artisanal salt, and add some lemon wedges. If you prefer, garnish with a lemon slice.
Mojito Mezcal
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. of mezcal
- 4.0 oz. of sparkling mineral water
- 1.0 oz. of agave syrup
- 0.5 oz. of lime juice
- Ice
- Fresh peppermint
- Lime wedges
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Add the lemon slices and garnish with a sprig of peppermint.
Spicy Bloody Mezcal
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. of mezcal
- 1.5 oz. of Ancho Reyes® liqueur
- 5.5 oz. of Corazón Real® sangrita and/or Clamato® and/or tomato juice
- 1.0 oz. of lime juice
- Maggi® seasoning to taste
- Tabasco® to taste
- 1 pinch of salt and pepper
- Ice
- Lime wedge y 1 fresh celery stalk
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Garnish with a celery stalk and a lemon slice.
Chilli Tiger
Ingredients:
- 2.0 oz. of mezcal
- 1.0 oz. of lime juice
- 0.5 oz. of agave syrup
- Serrano chili
- Cucumber
- Ice
- Sparkling mineral water
- Cucumber slices and artisanal salt
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Pour all the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Add the chili and cucumber slices and garnish with a lime wedge.
Passion Fruit Mezcalini
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz. of mezcal
- 1.0 oz. of passion fruit pulp
- 0.5 oz. of agave syrup
- 1.0 oz. of lime juice
- Ice
- Lime slice
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously and strain into a short glass. Decorate the rim of the glass with artisanal salt and a few lime slices.
